Primary Elections June 3 – Go VOTE!

              There are several primary elections around the state that will take place on June 3.

The voter pre-registration deadline is Friday May, 23 at 5 PM. You can go to the Secretary of State’s web page to verify if you are registered   There are provisions where you can register after the May 23 deadline.

              The deadline the deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is Friday, May 30, at 5 p.m. Absentee ballots received in the county auditor’s office by 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, are eligible for counting. Absentee ballots returned by mail and received after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, must be postmarked by Monday, June 2, or earlier and received in the county auditor’s office no later than noon on Monday, June 9.

The last day to vote an absentee ballot in person at the county auditor’s office is Monday, June 2.

              The Polls will be open 7 AM to 9 PM.

Closed Primary

Voters must be registered voters of either the Democratic or Republican Party to participate in the primary election. Voters can change their party affiliation any time before Election Day or at their polling place on Election Day.
