Most members of Congress have accepted that the health reform law is here to stay. Not Sen. Chuck Grassley. As an already unproductive Congress was wrapping up its 2013 work, Iowa’s senior senator delivered a message on the floor of the Senate from an Iowan complaining about the Affordable Care Act.
Grassley quoted a pastor from Sioux County who says he changedhis health insurance last summer. Because that policy was not grandfathered in under the health reform law, the pastor will need to purchase a new, more expensive policy next year.
“Please convey to your Democratic colleagues that I grew up on a dairy farm and now pastor a church of farmers. I am the epitome of middle class America that they claim to champion,” Grassley read from the letter
