A story worth watching

We don’t need big media outlets to tell our story—we have you.

That’s why I’m so excited about this new message movers group. And now it’s time to spread a great story. We started this to fight back against the mixed-up stories we see so often about the labor movement. It’s our time to tell our story, and to have our very best messengers fight back by getting the word out.

Check it out, and then pass it on.

Cleaning Up: The Power of Community-Labor Partnerships

Meet Manuel—a carwashero fighting for a better future for his family through a labor and community partnership called the Clean Carwash Campaign. Working with environmental, faith-based, and immigrants rights groups, the Clean Carwash Campaign successfully negotiated contracts with three carwashes and gained sick leave, access to healthcare, and lunch breaks for their workers.

I’m really inspired by Manuel’s story, and I think you will be too.
