Groups Rally Over Immigration Reform Bill

As the U.S. House of Representatives debate versions of an immigration reform bill, Iowans are taking a stand.
Saturday afternoon, The Network for Immigration Reform, made up of twenty-four organizations, met on the statehouse steps to say that Iowa is nothing but a welcoming community.
Over 200 people joined together with signs to listen to five speakers talk about a just immigration bill. The group touched on the immigration comments made my Republican Rep. Steve King earlier in the week, but said Iowa is ready to welcome immigrants.
