From our friends at BCTGM:

As has been widely reported in the news, Mondelēz International (Mondelēz/Nabisco ) announced last summer that it intended to ship more than 600 BCTGM jobs from the company’s Chicago Nabisco Bakery to its low-wage bakery in Salinas, Mexico. Since the company’s announcement, the BCTGM has been engaged in an intensive campaign to preserve those jobs. The comprehensive campaign is generating significant support from the greater Chicago labor movement, state and local elected officials and progressive community and religious organizations.

Success in this campaign is extremely important to the BCTGM as it will surely have an impact in our upcoming national bargaining that begins in February for more than 2,000 BCTGM Nabisco members throughout the U.S.

We have developed a website specifically for this campaign: www.FightForAmericanJobs.org that provides information on the campaign, news media and in the coming weeks, videos. Please check it out and help spread the word!

They have launched a petition to Mondelēz International that can be found at: http://www.fightforamericanjobs.org/support-nabisco-jobs-in-chicago/ And are using #FightForAmericanJobs as the primary mover for this campaign; also use #SaveNabiscoJobs
