WEST DES MOINES – Today, January 27, 2016, Family Friendly Iowa will hold a roundtable focusing on small business owners and families who are eager to tell their stories about why Iowa workers deserve our family-friendly policies: affordable and accessible long-term care, child care, and a raise in the minimum wage. The event is open to the public and will last approximately one hour.
State lawmakers and community leaders will be in attendance and will discuss possible legislation that will benefit Iowa’s working families and move the state forward. They will be joined by a Family Friendly Iowa representative who will discuss the organization’s grassroots efforts and highlight the stories of struggling families across the state.
