Too many working families are struggling to make ends meet and respond to the competing demands of work and family. Every day, women and men across Iowa confront impossible choices between ensuring their families are cared for and working in order to get by. Unfortunately, our public policies have not kept pace with the reality of what women and families need to put economic security within reach and have a fair shot to get ahead. We need concrete solutions so working families can fulfill their obligations at work and at home without putting the other at risk.
