We’re expecting a great crowd, and there’s still time to buy your tickets — click here to purchase today!
If you already have your tickets, here’s what to expect on Sunday:
GREAT SPEAKERS: Senator Tom Harkin, Governor Lincoln Chafee, Representatives Dave Loebsack and Joaquin Castro, Ben & Jerry, and Iowa’s legislative leaders and candidates will all speak about how we can move our country forward!
LIVE MUSIC: When the doors open at 2 p.m. Sunday at Simon Estes Amphitheater, you’ll hear live music from local band Bluebird, Pace & Crow, until the speaking program begins.
ENTERTAINMENT & INFORMATION: A number of Iowa’s progressive organizations will have fun booths with great information — be on the lookout for a dunk tank, lemonade stand, photo booth, and more!
FOOD & DRINK: Every attendee will receive corn on the cob, a cold drink, bag of popcorn, and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. A few of the organizational booths will have cotton candy and other treats!
SEATING: There will be a number of chairs near the stage on a first-come, first-serve basis, but feel free to bring picnic blankets, and your own lawn chairs to set up on the lawn in the amphitheater.
TICKETING: If you have purchased your tickets already, or do so before arriving, your name will be on the list at registration — you will not need to bring anything to enter the event. There will be a handful of tickets for purchase at the door, but we strongly encourage you to buy your ticket today!
SCHEDULE/LOCATION: The Progress Iowa Corn Feed is at Simon Estes Amphitheater at 75 E. Locust St in downtown Des Moines, Iowa this Sunday, August 30. Doors open at 2:00 p.m. and the speaking program is expected to begin at 2:45 p.m.
Live music, a great lineup of progressive speakers, and Iowa sweet corn — what more could you ask for on a Sunday afternoon?
Thanks for all you do,
